Chelsea Field and Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder Take Bite Out of Animal Awareness

Nashville, TN – November 4, 2010 – Moxy Records recording artist Chelsea Field and one of prime time television’s biggest stars, the CW Network's Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder, have gone to the dogs… and cats, too!

On Saturday, November 13, Field joins Somerhalder in his hometown of Covington, LA for Unleashed! “Bash on the Bayou.” The fully catered Cajun-themed event will feature Field as the evening’s musical talent, while Somerhalder serves as event Chairman. All proceeds generated from the event benefit homeless animals at St. Tammany Humane Society, a local no-kill animal shelter.

“Teaming with Ian for this event is something that’s very near and dear to my heart,” confesses Field. “Animals are a big part of my life and to be able to give a little back with my music is the least I can do!”

In addition, on November 9, Field’s “Love’s Never Leavin’,” penned by American Idol’s Katharine McPhee, Grammy Award-winning songwriter Richard Marx and acclaimed Nashville producer Trey Bruce, will be available for download via i-Tunes with 100% of proceeds benefiting St. Tammany.

The Unleashed! “Bash on the Bayou” benefit kicks off at 7pm on November 13. The event will be held at the Castine Center in Covington, LA with advance tickets available at $60 apiece or $75 at the door. For more information, visit, www.sttammanyhumanesociety.org.
