Performers: Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, Beyonce... I love how they can connect with an audience. They are each very different performers, but they all share that same ability.

Album: Thriller (Michael Jackson) - My birthday is right around Halloween, so every year for my birthday party we would listen to Thriller!

Movies: Pretty Woman, Twilight, Tommy Boy, Christmas Vacation

TV Shows: Grey's Anatomy, King of Queens, Friends, The Office, Oprah, Jersey Shore
Actors: Julia Roberts, Vince Vaughan

Food: Mexican is my favorite... I could live on cheese dip! I actually love to cook. I've been told I make a mean crab dip! My grandma Grace taught me how to make homemade chicken noodles from scratch - that's another one of my favorite meals. My grandma used to own her own restaurant in the '50s and '60s. All home cooking. My mom and grandma are amazing cooks and taught me everything I know. Paula Deen is my favorite famous cook!

Sport: Volleyball. I played from seventh grade into my first year of college. I was named to the All-Ohio team!

Charity: Cancer research charities - Several important people in my life have battled with this disease. I know someday we'll find the cure.

Not So Favorites: I hate it when somebody parks and takes up two spots! Also, when people leave the toilet seat up - Ugh!

Misc

Hobbies: Going to concerts, going to the movies. Cooking. Shopping. Nordstrom, if I had to pick - but please don't make me pick! And, of course, our dogs! My dad's bulldog is named Roxie, and I have three shih tzus - Lucy, Lucky and Elvis!

First Job: Door-to-door construction sales. (No, I am NOT making that up!)

Earliest Career Ambition: Performing on stage at the CMA and ACM awards

Music to listen to in the car: '80s Rock!

What song do you wish you had written and why? "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey! To me, that is just one of the best songs ever! The way that song makes people feel - it's just magical.

Best advice you'd give to an aspiring artist: "If you truly want to succeed, then you have to live it." Also, "Rejection is not always a bad thing."

What is unique about you and your music: "I don't think I sound or perform like anyone else. My music means something to me, and when I'm singing it, I want you to feel that."
